I had hoped to give this as a gag gift to a law classmate. When it arrived, I was amazed at how poorly done this is. The drawings look NOTHING like the cover drawing. There's one drawing where she's supposed to be "exercising" but the drawing makes her look like a stripper spreading her legs. The "feminist" quotes are not quotes and they're not particularly feminist. Making fun of a woman because she's a bad driver or a bad cook isn't very empowering. It's just crude. Saying that someone exercises despite being old has nothing to do with RBG's legal career. Saying they had a long marriage has nothing to do with her legal career. This could have been good - it wasn't. Just someone capitalizing on RBG's popularity without putting in any real effort.Bottom line, I felt that giving this to my friend would offend her, not make her laugh. There are higher quality RBG coloring books out there - seek them out. I threw this in the trash and have moved on. If you saw the drawings (which are not in the product description really), you would too.
This is a horribly constructed book. Pictures are simply still photos of celebrities traced with RGB's head as replacement i.e. Jane Fond'as work out photo .And the drawing is awful. Very poor quality! It was to be part of a birthday gift with the magnificent hardcover book: Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but it can't happen.
The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Coloring Book is a very clever addition to my RBG collection. I have her books, purchased on Amazon, and color glossies of official SCOTUS pictures. I also have purchased an original authentic hand-signed 8X10 photograph of her before becoming a SC Justice.Justice Ginsburg is known to have a marvelous sense of humor. The RBG Coloring Book is nicely done and I feel greatly adds to my collection of artifacts from and about this very multi-faceted special person.
I bought the book for our daughter for Christmas thinking it would be a funny gift because she has to be RGB's biggest fan. When I received it I wanted to keep it for myself. It's the cutest coloring book ever. Great RGB motivational quotes throught the book. A must buy for any Ruth Ginsburg fan.
I was hoping for a nice basic coloring book on RBG for my teen daughter. In actuality it’s rather silly and borderline exploitive. Poorly constructed. Little to be learned. In most pics, her face is imposed on a body in some silly situation having nothing to do with Ruth or her life.
I gave this to my 9 year old niece, who is a young feminist, but it was really enjoyed by myself and my sister. You don't have to be a child to enjoy this coloring book
A bit disappointed with artwork itself in terms of it being for a coloring book, but 4 stars anyway because it is an RBG coloring book.
Bought this for my adult feminist daughter~ & she loves it! Happy someone thought of this idea~ maybe we'll see more like it!A nice way to relax and also reaffirm your faith in the world~ Celebrate Ruth and the good she does~ Have Fun!
