This is a pretty awesome rendition of the YA novel, Lost Stars by Claudia Gray. If you enjoyed the novel... you’re going to enjoy this first volume. Seeing Ciena and Thane come to life in manga form is exciting!This edition starts off at the battle of Hoth. However, it quickly uses a flashback to take us to the beginning of Thane and Ciena’s tale on Jalucan. So there some differences between this and the novel. I’d say the manga is almost a summary of the book, covering the more important aspects of the story.It’s classic manga, meaning your reading pattern is reversed. If you’re new to manga, it may take a few pages to catch on to this unique style.
This, like the original book, went really under the radar. However, the Lost Stars novel is my favorite Star Wars novel (I recommend it before reading the manga), and this does it so much justice. It is not the full book, as it will be split up into multiple volumes, but I HIGHLY recommend Lost Stars in both reading platforms and in the future manga volumes as well!
The book is great but having it converted to a Manga, Perfect. Short compared to the actual book but still, worth the purchase.
It's great. Volume 2 is not out yet though.
The art is amazing and I was glued to every page (like I was with the book). I cannot wait to see how they handle the rest of the story.
This was a pleasant adaptation of the Lost Stars book. I enjoyed reading through it. I am looking foward to reading second half
I loved this novel when it came out, and jumped at the idea of it also being a manga.It put a story I already loved I to a form my kids would love. I can't wait for the next part! Great story!
