I have always had very little knowledge of Hypnosis, nor interest for that matter. I have been interested in natural healing/disease prevention for some time now and was told by a friend to open my horizons and learn about the benefits of Hypnosis. I was ordering from Amazon one night and decided to check for books on Hypnosis and the book that caught my eye had a guy on the cover walking on fire!! Being the skeptic that I am, I had to get the book..for the picture looked real and not just some photo shopped scam.A week later I started reading the book. I was amazed on how much this author knew of the subject! And, most importantly, how easy it was to understand! It didn't drag on and was anything but boring. I finished half the book the first night.It is packed with great information regarding the healing capabilities of hypnosis. I am very glad I purchased the book and now am seriously considering using hypnosis as a means to help me quit a long time tobacco addiction! I recommend this book to anyone interested in a more natural approach to health and healing!
Great book, interesting topic that I hope to get good at allowing me to self hypnotize daily to work on positive affirmation... the reality that everything (including our bodies) are just loose spinning atoms is pretty mind blowing... thinking about that truth and more then likely another dimension we can't see makes for wonderful discussion. The "white light" is real and the pursuit of "love" should the goal of every human; all encompassing love.I wish I had embraced "an attitude of gratitude" while growing up... it's never too late to learn and grow.(the only complaint I have is about the person (computer program?) that proof read the final edition before printing really did a poor job... so many errors grammatically that it surprised me.Mr. Sansone needs to read the book again and note all the errors before the next printing...
I bought this after listening to the author mention it on a You Tube videot. It's good to see a book like this about hypnosis, since a lot of people's idea of it is entertainment at parties. The book has a "left brain" component (medicine, science, case histories) and a "right brain" component (theory and speculation, my favorite part). I like that the author sees hypnosis as tapping into a realm of consciousness beyond our waking minds, on page 187 he states "There needs to be a kind of loving attitude towards self and others. And there needs to be a letting go and surrending to a higher power". Nice, it's along the same lines of thinking as Ernest Holmes and Neville Goddard. Sansone doesn't use the Bible as a backdrop for his work like these two (but I do like that aspect of Holmes and Goddards books). I also recommend "Letting Go, The Pathway to Surrender" by David Hawkins that Sansone mentions. Another great book. Good self-hypnosis technique described in Bioplasticity too..
This is an excellent read....and it's especially good since it's written by someone I know. Joe Sansone is a personal friend and I must say, he did a wonderful job on this book.

When a friend gave me this book to read I was a little taken back by the photo on the cover! However, fire-walking is only a small, though intriguing, part of the book. You will find the author brings up many topics for thought such as near death experiences, mass media hypnosis, and energy or light fields. He discusses these subjects and lots more all relating to the concept of bioplasticity, or the mind's ability to heal itself and the body through hypnosis.I found the book not only worth reading and easy to read, but with a nice mix of philosophy and the practical, and would highly recommend it for the contributions it makes to the topic of hypnosis and healing, especially if you are not familiar with this field, as I was. To this end, the author has included a history of hypnosis, the current state of the hypnosis profession, and new healing modalities such as hypnopuncture, for example, along with a chapter on self-hypnosis.I can appreciate the author's arguments in favor of hypnosis and I respect his experiences using it as a treatment modality. It is clear that he has written this book with the reader in mind and, further, he seeks to make a difference in the alleviation of disease... because of these reasons that I give this book 5 stars!
